Frank Marafiote, President Emerge Communications

I serve as an advisor, counselor, and coach to small business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs who need help defining and resolving marketing and other business issues that are keeping them from achieving their goals.

In addition to advisory and coaching services, through Emerge Communications I write marketing plans, provide writing, editing, and public relations services, and also perform business research and report writing. One of my areas of specialization is internal marketing and HR communications.

To stay current in my field and to be challenged by students who expect excellence in the classroom and online, I teach graduate and undergraduate marketing and advertising courses at Southern New Hampshire University.

I started my consulting practice in 1991.

• PR expert who landed appearances on the Today Show, and hundreds of other radio, TV, and print media outlets.
• MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
• BA in English from Villanova University.

Other stuff about me –

A certified community mediator, I do volunteer parent-child mediation for the Belknap County Youth Services Bureau and served on the Board of Directors (2005 – 2008) for the New Hampshire Conflict Resolution Association.

I started flying airplanes when I was still in high school and have been a licensed pilot for most of my adult life. When I am not behind the controls of a real airplane, I fly my computer! I have been a Flight Simulator addict since the first version was released in 1980.

My other addiction is writing. In addition to writing for my business web sites and blogs, I write frequently about politics and social issues. Some unenlightened people wish I would stop. Fat chance.

I live in Gilford, New Hampshire.
