Employee Communications

Using Effective
Communications to Make Employees
Your Best Customers
We
think of employees as an organization's first true
customers. Our expertise is in an area sometimes
referred to as internal
marketing. An organization can best achieve its potential if employees are first
" sold" on the organization they work for, as
well as its mission, products, management, and goals.
That
requires outstanding, timely, and professional employee
communications.
At Emerge Communications
we are not just writers and designers, but
consultants experienced in employee relations and
human resources communications. That means we know
how to communicate to your employees in a way that
reflects the HR perspective and achieves your goals.
Whether it is explaining the latest changes in
benefits programs and internal policies, or getting
employees to understand and enthusiastically support
company strategies and goals, we have undertaken
similar projects and know how to communicate with
employees effectively and professionally.
For many of our clients, Emerge
Communications' editorial and
communications expertise is used to assist with a
wide range of employee communications materials,
including:
- Management proposals for HR initiatives
- Orientation packages
- Employee handbooks
- News releases for employee promotions and
new-hires
- Memos and policy statements
- Program and benefit brochures
- Group presentation materials
- Internal HR communications
- Employee newsletters
- Change communications
- Issues management
- Crisis management
For those clients who are experiencing on-going
employee communications
issues, Emerge can assess your organization's
communications environment and offer practical
recommendations on how to improve employee
communications.

Quick View: An Internal
Marketing Case Study
View
a sample presentation created by Emerge Communications
for an Annual Employee Meeting. We
were called to a meeting with the company's Human Resources Executive to discuss her perception that
employee morale had been declining recently due to the departure of some
key employees and the firm's inability to reach its latest revenue
projections.
As part of an Internal Marketing initiative, Emerge
worked closely with Human Resources to develop program
objectives and design the actual programs. Our next
step was to write the copy and design two attractive,
informative employee brochures to sell employees on
the ideas. Our final step was to create a powerful but
simple PowerPoint presentation about the two new
programs to be presented at the Annual Employee
Dinner.
This integrated Internal Marketing program has been
deemed a great success by Human Resources, company employees, and
Senior Management. Employee participation in the two
programs has increased pride in the organization, a
shared sense of values and purpose, and increased
overall staff morale.
